The crew app built by a landscaper, for landscapers.
Routes, invoicing, time clock, payroll, and a live sales pipeline — all in one app, built from running a real lawn care company. We're taking on founding customers now, ahead of our public App Store launch.
30-day free trial · no card required · plans from $30/month
Everything the day needs, in one app.
Built first for lawn care and landscaping crews. Pest control, pool care, and other outdoor trades are supported too — pick your trade at signup and CrewCaptain reshapes itself around how your business works.
Routes & scheduling
Build daily routes, assign crews, and give every tech a clear Today screen — start, navigate, check off, done.
Invoicing that keeps up
Finished work becomes queued invoices automatically — per visit, monthly, or seasonal billing, including QuickBooks sync.
Time clock & payroll
Crew clock in from the field; owners see hours, gross pay, and true labor cost per pay period without a spreadsheet.
Leads, quotes & customers
Capture a lead the moment the phone rings, quote it, and convert it to a job — one pipeline, not three tools.
Built for the field
Works offline in dead zones and syncs when signal returns. Chemical treatment logs for pest control included.
Owner notifications
Get a push the moment billable work is checked off — never open the app to find out work is ready to bill.
One app that changes shape.
Pick a trade and see exactly what CrewCaptain sets up for it — the starter services, what it calls a location, and which extras switch on. This is the real preset list from the app, not a mock-up.
Watch it plan the day.
Nine stops in the order they happened to get added, and the same optimiser the app runs when you tap Optimise on a route. Sample stops — the maths is the real thing.
Nearest-neighbour, then 2-opt and Or-opt alternately over multiple starts — the same pass the app runs on a real route, on demand rather than overnight in a batch.
Three steps, about five minutes.
You sign up at your desk and your crew works from their phones — one account, the same data on both. The App Store listing is still in review, so the iPhone app arrives through Apple's own beta program in the meantime.
Create your company on the web
Go to crewcaptain--app.expo.app, pick your trade, and your 30-day trial starts. No card required. Takes about two minutes.
Put it on your crew's phones
Tap this link on your iPhone and follow the prompts, then sign in with the login you just made. It uses Apple's own TestFlight app — nothing outside the App Store ecosystem.
Run your first route
Add your crew, your customers, and your first route the same day. The same account works on the phone and at your desk.
Priced by crew size. Never by feature.
Every plan gets every feature — routes, invoicing, time clock, payroll, leads. Pick by crew size, switch anytime. 30-day free trial on all of them, no card required.

The things people ask first.
Is this only for lawn care?
No. Pick your trade at signup and the app sets itself up for it — the starter service list, what it calls a location, and which extras switch on. Lawn care and landscaping are the best-worn paths because they are what it was built from, and pest control, pool, irrigation, tree service, cleaning and the mechanical trades are all set up too.
Do I need QuickBooks?
No. Invoicing works on its own — finished work becomes a queued invoice and you send it from the app. If you already run QuickBooks Online you can connect it and invoices sync across, but nothing requires it, and the app never asks you to set up an accounting system before it does anything useful.
What happens when the trial ends?
The 30-day trial needs no card, so nothing happens automatically. If you subscribe you are billed monthly and can cancel any time from the billing portal.
If a subscription lapses the account becomes read-only rather than closed — you can always still see and export your own records.
Will it work where my crew actually works?
Yes. Check-offs and time punches are stored on the phone when there is no signal and sync when it comes back, so a dead zone does not cost you a record of the work.
Do I have to be on a phone to use it?
No. The same account runs in a browser at your desk, which is where most owners do billing and payroll. The phone app is for the crew and for you in the truck.
How much setup is there before it does anything?
Minutes, not an implementation project. Add your crew, add your customers, build a route. There is no required configuration phase and nobody to book an onboarding call with.
